Chad Kennedy

This was a production by students in the MA of English and Cultural Studies program at Christ University in Bengaluru/ Bangalore, India. The production featured live singing, tabla beats, and traditional Indian dance to tell the tale of Charandas Chor, the honest thief. Noted post-colonial playwright, Habib Tanvir, wrote this whimsical satire and uplifting comic parable about the power of telling the truth. I was privileged to co-direct this piece with a graduate student director from Tamil Nādu.
